A Review of Zoig.com

General

Brad loves this site. He’s always playing around on it. And the strange thing is, we aren’t earning any money from it since it’s a “submit your stuff for free” site.

If you go have  look at the site and start to spend some time getting to know some of the couples, watching their hot movies, going on the video chat or interacting with people in the forums, you’ll see why Brad loves Zoig.

It’s a really nicely put together with a very intuitive and easy to navigate website…and easy on the eyes (this is really something that other website owners should learn from).

When you land on Zoig for the first time, you’re met with a 1 minute featured video, and an overview of new submissions, users, stamped photos and who is currently online.  It’s  a lot to look at!

Once you’ve logged in you get a nice quick video of your account status: has anyone mailed you, how much have you uploaded etc. Also, and this is really interesting, it shows you the top submitters in your area, plus it shows you the newest photos and videos form couples in your area too. This is a great way to make some connections with local Zoig members. Last but not least, there is nice browser tabbed browser with some of the newest pictures and videos from members.

Brad goes for the newest videos and photos section and before you know it, he’s in amateur porn heaven.

Community

One of the things that we both enjoy about Zoig is that it is a site the encourages “niceness“. The comments to each submission are policed by the members – meaning that if someone has something nasty to say in a comment, it can be flagged by the others members and is eventually deleted and the member can even be deleted if they persist in making negative comments.

This has led to the creation of a very positive and supportive community at Zoig and this is one of the reasons that we always visit and post at Zoig, even if we don’t get paid for it.

There are some really hot couples at Zoig and some seriously steamy content is posted here. Sure you’ll find some poor quality photos and videos, that’s to be expected in an amateur community, but there does seem to be a hell of a lot of good content to surf through. The video section has some especially good homemade porn, everything you could ask for: sex outside, public sex and flashing, handjobs, blowjobs, threesomes, group sex, facials, tit fucking, MILFs, teens…it has the works.

It’s also cool, because its a really international site. That’s right, people all over the world are fucking in front of their cameras and posting the results on Zoig. Because it’s an international site, the online chat and video always seems to have some action going on. You can literally log on at any given time during the day or night and you’re bound to find a lot of people chatting and caming. This is a free, function, by the way – and that rocks.

Submitting

If you’re a submitter (which you should be if you read this blog) you’ll find the submission process relatively painless. You can upload a single picture or  video. The limit is 200MB per upload, which is a lot! Frankly, we’ve seen better uploading systems: a batch upload for several pictures at once would be nice and it would be nice to be able to tag, name and comment a submission before you upload…but these are small things which shouldn’t take away from what is actually a really wonderful site.

As a submitter you earn so called “zDollars“. It’s a point system for uploading and keeping your content on Zoig. Once you’ve collected enough zDollars, you can get a ZG+ premium membership. You earn between 0.60 and 0.45 cents per minute of video you’ve uploaded (if you’ve got “Zoig” anywhere clearly in the video you get more points) and 0.45 to 0.30 cents per picture that you upload (once again, if you show Zoig in the pictures, you get more).

It’s a nice system and we’ve financed a 3 months premium Zoig+ subscription through it…but it does take a lot of time to collect the points.

What could be better

We’ve already mentioned that a batch loader and one-step tagging and comment and uploading process would be better, but beyond that, there are only a few things which we really think could be done better on the site.

Even if you’re logged in as a free members, you tend to get hit with an advertising page whenever you want to see a video. Obviously running the site costs money, so Mr. Z is certainly not out of bounds in trying to get people to register for the site…but it does get pretty old.

A way around this that we’ve discovered is that once you’ve watched a video, just click on “more submitted videos” on the right and chose one of those. You can usually bypass the ad this way.

It really is a shame that there are no monthly paid contests. There are indeed contests monthly and you can win subscriptions, items from the Zoig Cafe Press Store (t-shirt and mug anyone?) but there’s no cash to be had and so this will probably turn some of you off.

Lastly, Mr. Z has not incorporated an affiliate program to help spread the good word. That’s a shame, because it’s a site that a lot of folks would love to promote.

What we love

We’ve already raved about the content, the community and the web design, so the next points are those little things that push it right over the edge of normal and right into being awesome.

There’s loads of way to browse and discover fresh content and couples. We’ve been Zoigers for over 2 years and we’re still surprised to find new hot new videos and couples. Some of the best ways to discover new things on the site are the “more submitted videos” section to the right of individual pages and the “collections” that individual members put together. Brad hardly ever uses the search or keyword functions anymore because he browses the this way.

The couples on the site are really outstanding and the community built up around them is priceless.

Final words

If you’re making homemade porn and submitting it solely to make money, this isn’t your site. But if you truly enjoy not just making your own porn but also watching other couples naked and fucking, than this site is hard to beat. It has a lovely community and is just a great website to get involved with.
